Allstate Settlement for Laurens County Resident

Donna Browne was involved in rear-end motor vehicle accident on March 18, 2009 in Laurens County. Requiring medical attention after the accident, she was carried by ambulance to the emergency room of Fairview Park Hospital. Donna presented with complaints of pain in her ears, nausea, and dizziness. She was diagnosed as having dizziness and ear pain and was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries. Further, she was advised to secure additional medical treatment. She sought care from Dr. Nolan Stephens of Healing Hands. Donna had continued to suffer from lumbar pain, thoracic pain, and neck pain. Dr. Stephens diagnosed her with cervical and lumbar subluxations, muscle spasms, headaches, paraesthesia of the upper and lower extremities, cervical radiculitis, nerve root compression, and cervical/lumbar/hip/shoulder sprains/strains. Dr. Stephens also found Donna had reduced range of motion and thereby recommended a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms. Upon discharge, Donna was advised to secure treatment with a MRI specialist. During the course of her treatment, Dr. Stephens required several x-rays. Donna was seen by Milledgeville Imaging Center for X-rays of the injuries to her neck and head. Donna was diagnosed with having loss of cervical lordosis and an enlargement of the adenoids. She was also seen by Analgesic Healthcare for evaluation. Donna had continued to suffer from lower back pain radiating into her buttocks and lower extremities. She was diagnosed with having lumbacalgia, sciatica, and radiculitis. Analgesic Healthcare advised Donna to continue with chiropractic treatment and to seek further medical care as needed. She was also seen by Dr. Harvey Jones for treatment of continued neck and back pain. He diagnosed her with having cervical sprain and thoraco-lumbar fasciitis.

Once she was feeling better, we settled the claim against Allstate Insurance Company.
