Balwin County Woman Hurt in Car Accident

Jessica  was involved in a motor vehicle accident on February 1st, 2010 in Baldwin County Georgia. Jessica was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in an accident. The driver of the car she was traveling in pulled out into the path of another vehicle causing the accident. After this collision, Jessica required medical attention and was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Oconee Regional Medical Center.    At the Emergency Room, she was examined by the emergency room physician and diagnosed as having right hip pain/contusion/abrasion and left chest contusion/pain.  She was  advised to seek follow up medical care for the injuries sustained.  Following the emergency room physician's advice, she sought further medical care with Dr. Nolan Stephens of Healing Hands.  Dr. Stephens diagnosed her with headaches, inflammation, edema, sleep disturbance, cervicalgia, Malia/myocytis, cervical/thoracic/lumbar sprains/strains, lumbago, facet syndrome, and multiple subluxations. Dr. Stephens found that Jessica had reduced range of motion in her neck and back and prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms. During her treatment, she was also seen at Radiology Diagnostics for MRIs of the sustained injuries.  The MRI's revealed a disc bulge at the L4/5 area and a disc herniation at the L5/S1 area. Jessica was seen by Dr. Wilson of Oconee Neurology Services.  Dr. Wilson advised that she might have a mild post-concussive syndrome due to the accident. She was given medications to help with the migraines. She was then seen by Dr. Stewart of JIL Family Health Center. Dr. Stewart diagnosed her with chronic pain, low back pain, neck pain, muscle aches, muscle weakness, and head pain and advised her to continue taking the prescribed medications and to follow up with further medical care if needed. Jessica continues to be in pain from her injuries and require prescription care.  She expects to require pain medication for the foreseeable future. After everything, we settled the claim against State Farm insurance for expensenses incurred.
