Marcus was involved in an accident on November 3rd, 2010 in Columbus, Georgia. He was traveling west going thru an intersection when another vehicle who failed to yield taking a left turn and crashed into Marcus's vehicle. After this collision, Marcus required medical attention.

Marcus had continued to suffer from neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain and was diagnosed with cervicobrachial syndrome, lumbar back pain, and thoracic segmental dysfunction and prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat his symptoms. Once treatment was completed, Attorney Shane Smith settled the claim with USAA Insurance Company.
