Coweta County Accident Settles After Causing Multiple Injuries

Courtland was involved in a motor vehicle accident on March 11, 2011 in Coweta County Georgia. Courtland was a passenger in a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn when another vehicle came from behind and slammed into them. After this collision, Courtland required medical attention. He was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Piedmont Newnan Hospital. At the emergency room, he was examined by the physician and diagnosed with a head contusion. Courtland was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries. Upon discharge, he was instructed to rest, take the prescribed medications, and seek follow up medical care. Courtland then began seeing Dr. Boyce Thomas of Papp Clinic. He had continued to suffer from pain in his head and shoulder and was diagnosed with headaches and shoulder pain. Dr. Matthew Davis of Crossroad Chiropractic also saw him. Courtland had continued to suffer from pain in his head, neck, and back. Dr. Davis diagnosed him with headaches, cervicalgia, thoracalgia, and cervical/thoracic segmental dysfunctions. Dr. Davis found that he reduced range of motion in his neck and back. He was prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat his symptoms. After treatment was complete, we settled against Geico Insurance.
