Vanessa Robbins was involved in a motor vehicle accident on November 10, 2008 in Coweta County. After this collision, Vanessa required medical attention. She was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She presented with complaints of pain in her back, neck, and face. Vanessa was diagnosed with a facial contusion, cervical and lumbar strain. The attending physician prescribed Percocet for pain and flexeril as a muscle relaxant. Further, Vanessa was advised to seek follow up medical care for the injuries resulting from the November incident. In addition to rest, Vanessa was instructed to apply ice to her injuries. Following the emergency room physician's advice, Vanessa Robbins sought medical care by her family physician, Dr. Powell of White Oak Medical. Upon examination by Dr. Powell and his associate, Dr. Matt Davis, a diagnosis of a cervical and lumbar strain was given. Dr. Davis prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms.
Once Vanessa was feeling better, we were able to go forward with the lawsuit against Travelers Insurance.
