Eric was involved in a motor vehicle accident on September 24,2010 in Fayette County Georgia. Eric was driving east on Palmetto Road, when another vehicle swerved in front of him to make a turn. Eric was unable to stop when he was cut off and this caused his vehicle to slam in the other car. After the collision, Eric needed medical attention. Dr. Joon Lee of Southern Crescent Medical Clinic saw him. He had continued to suffer from pain in his neck, shoulder, back, chest, and diagnosed with cervical strain and right shoulder pain. Dr. Lee found that he had reduced range of motion in his neck and shoulder. He was prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat his symptoms. Dr. Shevin Pollydore of Peachtree Orthopedic Clinic also saw Eric. Dr. Pollydore diagnosed him with cervicalgia with multilevel disc/spur complexes and an extrusion at C3/4, right upper extremity numbness/tingling with bilateral carpal tunnel, right shoulder impingement/tendinitis with MRI showing partial supraspinatus tear, and mild thoracic pain. Dr. Pollydore found that Eric had reduced range of motion in his neck shoulder, and back. Eric was advised that surgery and epidural injections would be the most beneficial for recovery. After he was feeling better, we settled the claim against Nationwide Insurance Company.
