February 10th Troup Collision - Settled by Shane Smith

Sharatha Dozier, Shaquille Reeves, and Shakhia Reeves were involved in a motor vehicle accident on February 15, 2010 in Troup County. After this collision, Sharatha Dozier required medical attention and was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of West Georgia Medical Center. She presented with complaints of pain in both legs. She was diagnosed as having acute myofascial strain and a thigh contusion. Sharatha was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries and was also advised to seek further medical services for her injuries. She was also asked to follow up with West Georgia Medical Center for an MRI of her injuries. Sharatha Dozier continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries and sought treatment from Cosper Chiropractic. Dr. Cosper diagnosed her with a cervical sprain/strain, brachial neuritis/radiculitis, thoracic sprain/strain, and lumbar sprain/strain. Additionally, Sharatha received a diagnosis of a reduced range in three areas:  upper back, lower back and neck.  Dr. Cosper prescribed a course of physical therapy. Sharatha saw the physician at Southwest Medical Clinic. Suffering with lower back pain, their physician confirmed the diagnosis of cervical and lumber strain.

Shaquille Reeves was also injured in the accident. After the incident, Shaquille was seen by Dr. Cosper at Cosper Chiropractic. She suffered from neck pain, shoulder pain, and generalized back pain. Dr. Cosper diagnosed her with wrist/hand radiculitis, cervical sprain/strain, thoracic sprain/strain, and lumbar sprain/strain. Dr. Cosper found that Shaquille Reeves had reduced range of motion in her wrist, neck and back for which he prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to alleviate and treat the injuries sustained in the February accident.

Shakhia Reeves was the other passenger in the vehicle and at the time of the accident and required immediate medical care. She was transported to the emergency room of West Georgia Medical Center. Shakhia presented with complaints of pain in her back. She was diagnosed with back pain and was given prescriptions for her injuries. Shakhia was also advised to seek follow up medical care.  Likewise, she was also seen by Dr. Cosper of Cosper Chiropractic where she was diagnosed with a cervical sprain/strain, thoracic sprain/strain, and lumbar sprain/strain. She, too, was diagnosed with a reduced range of motion and was prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms.
