Multiple Injuries from McDonald's Fall - Successful Ending for All!

Patty Hathorne was involved in a slip-and-fall incident at McDonalds in Wal-Mart on Lawrenceville Suwanee Road.  After this incident, Patty Hathorne required medical attention. She was transported via her personal vehicle to the emergency room of Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Patty presented with complaints of pain in her right shoulder, right hip and left knee. She was diagnosed as having a knee injury and multiple contusions of the right shoulder, right hip and left knee. Patty was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries. Patty was also advised to seek follow up medical care for her numerous injuries. She continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries. Following the advice of the physician from Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Patty sought further medical care. She was seen by Gwinnett Health Centers. Patty had continued to suffer from right shoulder pain, right hip pain, and left knee pain. Gwinnett Health Centers diagnosed her with strain and contusion of right shoulder, contusion of the right hip, and strain/sprain and contusion of left knee. Additionally, Patty sought treatment at Academy Orthopedics where she was diagnosed with reduced range of motion and an ACL tear in her left knee. The physicians at Academy Orthopedics recommended an ACL reconstructive surgery with mid third patellar tendon allograft. The goal of this procedure was: to increase the range of motion, decrease pain, and repair the tom ACL. The surgery was performed at Gwinnett Medical’s Surgery Center. After surgery Patty received physical therapy at Rehab South Physical Therapy. She had continued to suffer from knee pain. Rehab South Physical Therapy diagnosed the following conditions: knee joint stiffness, knee joint effusion, and knee joint pain. She received a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her injuries.  Further, Patty was seen at Peachtree Spine Physicians for her back and neck injuries. They treated these symptoms in conjunction with the doctors at Academy Orthopedics who were treating her knee injuries. Her physical therapy was at Rehab South. She also continued to suffer from neck pain. Peachtree Spine Physicians diagnosed her with cervical spondylosis without myelopathy, cervicalgia, thoracic spondylosis without myelopathy, coccyx/coccygodynia, lumbago, and lumbosacral spondylosis without myelopathy.

We were able to settle the claim against GAB Robbins NA, Inc. once Patty had completed her extensive rehab.
