KP was involved in a motor vehicle accident on March 12, 2011 in Spalding County, Georgia. She was the passenger in a vehicle involved in side-impact auto accident. After this collision, KP required medical attention. She was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was diagnosed as having headaches and a closed head injury. KP followed up with Dr. Bijay Pandey of Rush Neurology. She continued to suffer from head pain. Dr. Pandey diagnosed her with a closed head injury and memory loss. She was referred to South Atlanta Radiology Associates for a CT scan of her head. KP was also seen by Dr. Mark Albritton of Griffin Resurgens Orthopaedics. She had continued to suffer from pain in her lower leg, knee, and lower back. Dr. Albritton diagnosed her with bilateral anterior knee pain consistent with contusion and lumbar strain. KP was prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms. The goal of this physical therapy was to increase the range of motion, decrease pain, and aid the muscles and ligaments in healing. KP continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries. Kimberly was seen by Dr. Andrew Hartpence of Griffin Wellness and Accident Center. She had continued to suffer from pain in her head, neck, and back. Dr. Hartpence found that KP had reduced range of motion in her neck and back. She was prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms. The goal of this physical therapy was to increase the range of motion, decrease pain, and aid the muscles and ligaments in healing. The claim was settled against Safeway Insurance once KP completed treatment
