Rockdale County Accident Sends Two to the Emergency Room

Chinyere Obinna and Emmanuel Orgu were involved in a rear-end motor vehicle accident on February 13, 2010 in Rockdale County, Georgia. After this collision, Chinyere required medical attention and was immediately transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Rockdale Medical Center. Chinyere presented with complaints of pain in her back – and was diagnosed as having thoracolumbar strain/sprain and muscle spasms. Chinyere was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries and was also advised to seek follow-up medical care for the injuries sustained. Chinyere continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries. She was seen by East Metro Wellness Center. Chinyere continued to suffer from neck pain, headaches, low back pain, mid back pain, hand pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, and knee pain. Dr. Cornelius Stephens diagnosed her with the following:  post concussion syndrome, cervical segmental dysfunction, lumbar segmental dysfunction, thoracic segmental dysfunction, post traumatic headaches, shoulder pain, chest pain, elbow pain, knee pain, hand pain, and myalgia. In addition, Dr. Stephens found that Chinyere had reduced range of motion and recommended a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms.

Emmanuel Orgu was also injured as a result of the collision and like Chinyere was transported to the emergency room of Rockdale Medical Center by ambulance. Emmanuel presented with complaints of pain in his head and thigh pain. He was diagnosed as having headaches, cervicolumbar strain/sprain, and muscle spasms and was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries. Emmanuel Orgu was also advised to seek follow-up medical care.  He continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries. Emmanuel was also seen by Dr. Cornelius Stephens of East Metro Wellness Center and was diagnosed him with cervical segmental dysfunction, lumbar segmental dysfunction, post traumatic headaches, and hip pain. Physical therapy was also recommended by Dr. Stephens in light of Emmanuel’s reduced range of motion. East Metro Wellness Center prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy.

Once Chinyere and Emmanuel were feeling better, we settled the claim against Grange Insurance.
