Troup County Site of Accident - Subsequently Settled with Travelers

Tony Pettitt and Heidi Carter were involved in a motor vehicle accident on April 23, 2010 in Troup County, Georgia. Tony and Heidi were traveling north on Commerce Avenue when another vehicle pulled out in front of them causing Tony and Heidi to hit the other car. After this collision, Tony required medical attention and sought treatment from Dr. Cosper of Cosper Chiropractic. Tony was suffering with back and neck pain and pain in his right leg. Dr. Cosper diagnosed him with cervical sprain/strain, lumbar sprain/strain, and thoracic sprain/strain. Dr. Cosper also found Tony had reduced range of motion in his neck and back. A conservative course of physical therapy was recommended.

Heidi Carter was a passenger in Tony's vehicle at the time of the accident. After the collision, Heidi also

also required medical attention and was immediately transported via ambulance to the emergency room of West Georgia Medical Center. There she was examined by the West Georgia Medical Center physician. Heidi presented with complaints of pain in her low back and was eventually diagnosed with a back contusion and acute myofascial strain.  She was given prescriptions for her sustained injuries. Heidi was also advised to seek follow up medical care for the injuries. She continued to suffer pain and also sought care from Dr. Cosper of Cosper Chiropractic. Heidi had continued to suffer from headaches and pain in her back, neck and arm. Dr. Cosper diagnosed Heidi with cervical sprain/strain, headaches, brachial neuritis/radiculitis, lumbar sprain/strain, and thoracic sprain/strain. Dr. Cosper found that Heidi had reduced range of motion in her back and neck and recommended a conservative program of physical therapy to treat her symptoms.

Once Tony and Heidi were feeling better, we were able to settle the claim against Travelers

Insurance Company.
