New Companies Malwarebytes and Azimo Are Major Threats to Their Rivals

Ever so often, new companies do so well that their established competitors quickly realize that they must “up their game” if they want to keep growing or just retain their current market share. This is certainly true regarding Malwarebytes and its new anti-viral software. In fact, the British publication “The 50 Best Businesses” says it’s “designed to catch all the latest criminal software.”

Those who currently work in-house for one of the major computer repair companies know that this software is often the first that’s used to evaluate computers needing repairs. As might be expected, this potentially superior anti-viral software is of great concern to competitors Symantec and McAfee.

Likewise, Azimo, a British-based startup, is also a new force to be reckoned with in the realm of money transfer companies. As “The 50 Best Businesses” has noted, Azimo “claims to be the cheapest and easiest way to send money to 195 countries across the world.”

Additional Interesting Facts About Both of These New Companies

  • Azimo says it’s “committed to ethical trading” because it’s trying to lower “the cost of transferring cash overseas . . . [which is allowing it to have] an impact on some of the poorest parts of the world;”
  • Malwarebytes was created by Marcin Kleczynski when he was only 19 years old. He had actually begun creating his first version of the software at the age of 14;
  • Azimo is further distinguishing itself from many other high-tech companies because it’s donating 10 percent of its profits to the poor in different parts of the world;
  • Both PC Magazine and CNET have each awarded Malwarebytes four-and-a-half stars out of a possible five in regards to its software’s usefulness;
  • Malwarebytes has headquarters located in both San Jose, California (USA) and Tallinn, Estonia in Europe;
  • According to results reported in July 2014, based upon lengthy research conducted over a 10-month time period, “’Malwarebytes Free’ is the most effective software in remediating all threats in 60 infection scenarios;”
  • Although it was first launched back in August of 2012, Azimo continues to attract major new investors. “Azimo is the first online money transfer service to be fully-integrated with Facebook, which means that you can log into Azimo via your Facebook account” and quickly send funds to any of your Facebook friends. In addition, “funds sent online

via Azimo usually hit the recipients’ accounts or pick-up points within 24 hours.” This may be what’s currently motivating competitors like PayPal to speed up their money transfers so they arrive one or more days earlier than in the past.

Both of these relatively new companies are currently marketing their unique services to a large percentage of businesses located around the globe. Azimo’s inspiring commitment to donate 10 percent of its profits to causes benefitting the poor has made it uniquely attractive to a number of people who regularly transfer funds across the Internet.
