A 14-year-old boy hit by a car while riding his bike was recovering in a hospital Wednesday morning with serious head injuries.
Police said the boy was hit Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Austell and Clay roads in Austell.
Officials said the teen was not wearing a helmet, and was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for treatment.
Police said the driver, Sara Grogan, 82, of Mableton, did stop and stay at the scene after the accident.
She has not been charged.
