Marietta Bicyclist Killed In Sandy Springs Pedestrian Accident

A man who was cycling with his son died after a bicycle-car crash in Sandy Springs.

The Cobb County pedestrian accident occurred on Monday, July 4, 2011, at about 7 a.m.  Bryan Morgan, 52, of Marietta, was biking south along Roswell Road near Hightower Trail with his 25-year-old son.  Mary Wussah, 51, of Douglasville, was driving south in a Toyota Camry. She struck Morgan from behind.  Morgan was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.  His son was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation. On July 1, a new Georgia law went into effect that requires drivers to keep their cars at least three feet from cyclists when passing.  It is not known if this law was violated. Police have not determined if files will be charged.

The Atlanta pedestrian injury attorneys at Shane Smith Law would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the Morgan family.
