Thirteen people were injured when a SUV collided into a MARTA Bus in DeKalb County. A three-year-old child was among the injured.
The Atlanta bus crash occurred on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at about 2 p.m. The route 119 bus was turning into the Indian Creek MARTA station when an oncoming SUVswerved into its lane. The bus was hit on the front left side. Thirteen people were injured, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
A 3-year-old girl was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The bus driver and eleven passengers were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the SUV was not injured. He was charged by DeKalb County police with failure to maintain a lane.
