Three children were seriously injured when their mother ran into a garbage truck in Coweta County.
The Atlanta car accident happened along Corinth Road around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 12. Linsey Hannah, 24, of Newnan was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound on Cornith Road. She was taking her children to day care when she crashed into a garbage truck.
A sanitation worker who was on back of the truck was forced off the truck. Half of the Ford Focus was caught under the garbage truck.
The three children, ages 7 to 2, were air lifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. At least one child required surgery. There is no word about how the children are doing.
Ms. Hannah was taken to Atlanta Medical Hospital and is intensive care. The sanitation worker, 35-year-old
Demetrius Gates, injured his leg and was taken to a local doctor by his supervisor.
The accident is still under investigation.
Attorney Shane Smith wishes the children a full and fast recovery. If you have been in an Atlanta car accident, call The Law Offices of Shane Smith to request a free copy of “10 Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Georgia Wreck Case.”
