Three Killed in Highway 36 Covington Car Crash

Three people are dead and two are seriously injured after a Highway 36 auto accident in Covington, Georgia.
 
The Georgia car accident occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March, 4.  Twenty-two-year-old Tesha Amanda Barrington was driving a Pontiac Grand Am with four passengers.  She pulled out of the parking lot of the Covington Dollar General store into traffic and was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado.
 
Ms. Barrington died from her injuries.  Two passengers, a mother and daughter who were visiting from out of state, also died in the collision.  The other passengers sustained serious injuries. 
 
Thirty-two-year-old James Allen Bruce was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Ms. Barrington's 2-year-old son was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
 
The occupants of the Silverado sustained only minor injuries.
 
The driver of the Silverado is not at fault for the accident and no charges are expected to be filed.
 
When an at-fault driver dies in a crash, the driver's insurance company is still liable for damages up to the limits of their policy.  Passengers of the at-fault driver are eligible for compensation for their injuries.
