Fred began his career as an attorney after law school serving as an officer for five years in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps. From an early age, Fred felt an obligation to serve his country through military service. During his time in the Army, he earned numerous medals and achievement honors. He spent most of his military service stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and assigned to both the 1st Cavalry Division and Trial Defense Service. He represented soldiers at Fort Hood, Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Fort Bliss, Texas.

Fred has been a practicing attorney for more than 20 years. He has spent most of these years practicing in the areas of civil litigation and civil law matters throughout North Carolina. His practice has been dedicated to representing clients across North Carolina who have been injured; he has dedicated his practice to personal injury, automobile wrecks, auto torts, premises liability, and workers’ compensation claims. He has litigated, negotiated, and resolved client cases across North Carolina on a regular and full-time basis for many years.
Fred has filed and resolved civil lawsuits for his clients in about 40 different counties across North Carolina. He has filed and resolved lawsuits in almost all counties surrounding Raleigh/Durham, to include Wake, Durham, Orange, Johnston, Nash, Guilford, Cumberland, Alamance, Wilson, Edgecombe, and Vance County. He has conducted civil trials throughout North Carolina, spanning from Buncombe County (Asheville) in the west to Lincoln County in the south to Wake (Raleigh), Durham, and Guilford (Greensboro) Counties in the central part of the State, and to New Hanover County (Wilmington) in the east. He has filed and resolved many Superior Court lawsuits across North Carolina for personal injury clients against drunk drivers, recovering punitive damages in addition to compensatory damages.
Fred has successfully resolved thousands of cases for his clients, whether by negotiating a settlement agreement with the opposing party or filing a lawsuit against the responsible party and pursuing the case through litigation. Fred has represented his many clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. During his career in representing injured folks across North Carolina, Fred has recovered more than ten million dollars for his clients in resolving their cases against liability carriers.
Fred is passionate about zealously representing his clients against opposing parties. His clients quickly notice that he has a great deal of compassion for them and the challenges they face in their legal matters. He strongly believes in having direct communication with his clients throughout their case, beginning with the initial consultation, progressing through the case, and during the negotiation and litigation process to resolve the case.

Fred graduated with honors (cum laude) from Wake Forest University and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in both History and Public Address. While at Wake Forest University, Fred was awarded a United States Army R.O.T.C Scholarship. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas.
