Announcing October’s Fayette & Coweta Counties’ Teachers of the Month!

The Fayette County Teacher of the Month is Ms. Ashlee Bingel, a 3rd grade teacher at Crabapple Lane Elementary School.  Ms. Bingel teaches using the “Love and Logic” philosophy, and believes that “all children are gifted with talents and work best in a positive, loving environment in which they can recognize the value they bring to the collaborative learning experience.”  Additionally, Ms. Bingel is going the extra mile by maintaining her own website which serves as a major source of constant contact.

Coweta County’s Teacher of the Month Award goes to Dr. Page Tarleton, a kindergarten teacher at Arbor Springs Elementary School.  She has been teaching for 18 years and says, “Teaching kindergarten is not like a job to me – it is my life, and I strive every day to inspire a life-long love of learning in all of my kindergarten babies.”  Dr. Tarleton also utilizes technology in her teaching and maintains an interactive website for her students and their parents.

We’d like to thank Ms. Bingel and Dr. Tarleton for everything that they do for their students and our children, and for being among a select few who go above and beyond their peers and their pay grades.  As a token of gratitude for these outstanding local educators, each of these ladies has received a $200 check for school supplies, a $25 gift card to Partner’s Pizza, and will be recognized in their local papers.

To nominate a teacher for November’s Teacher of the Month Award, please visit and complete the nomination form by November 20th.
