The Ronnie Thames Foundation established the Firefighter Silent Heroes Award to recognize local firefighters making a difference in Fayette County through their commitment and dedication. The award honors those firefighters who believe in the spirit of community service and dedication and shines the spotlight on these silent heroes for their tremendous contributions toward a safer and better educated neighborhood as well as their demonstraded leadership, heroism, and teamwork.
The nominees were honored at a dinner and award ceremony on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Peachtree City, Georgia. Shane Smith Law, PC was proud to be a part of the ceremony by presenting the Fayette County Fire Department with a new television for one of their fire stations.
Chief David Scarbrough accepted the TV on behalf of the Fayette County Fire Department, and says "It is with great appreciation that I accept the gift of the television from Shane Smith Law on behalf of all the hard working firefighters of our department. It is greatly appreciated by all of our employees who work diligently to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Fayette County."
