You don't have to be crossing the road to be a victim of an Atlanta pedestrian accident. A 58-year-old woman became a Clayton County pedestrian accident victim when she was struck by a piece of metal pipe that was hanging off the back of a truck.

The fatal accident occurred on the morning of Monday, June 11.  The woman, whose name has not been released, was walking along the grassy area along Tara Boulevard

A woman walking along was struck and killed by a piece of metal hanging from a truck Monday morning in Clayton County.  A fencing company truck was travelling south.  As the truck passed the walking woman, a poorly secured pipe hit her in the back of the head. The woman died from her injuries.

Clayton County police officers are investigating the Georgia pedestrian accident and charges are pending against the driver of the fencing company truck.
