A collision between a pickup truck and a John Deere tractor Tuesday morning in Walton County sent one man to the hospital and caused a secondary three-car wreck. The incident occured on Highway 138 at H.D. Atha Road.
According to Gordy Wright, public information officer for Georgia State Patrol, the John Deere tractor was traveling east on 138 when it was hit in the left rear by a pick-up truck.
"The tractor driver was taken to Walton Regional (Medical Center) with a head injury. Traffic was stopped for this crash when a vehicle hit the rear of a stopped car and knocked it into another vehicle," Wright said, adding that there were no injuries in the second crash.
