An early morning Georgia car crash left two college students dead and another two seriously injured.

The Milledgeville auto accident occurred at about 1 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Christian Smith, John Harof, Alexander Delor, and Tyler Zecker - four freshmen from Gwinnett County attending Georgia College and State University - were on their way back to school after a trip to Walmart. Smith was driving a Mini Cooper and lost control of the vehicle. The car went airborne and flipped several times before crashing into a tree. Harof and Delor died at the scene of the accident.

Smith and Zecker were seriously injured. They were taken to Oconee Medical Center in Milledgeville and then transferred to Medical Center of Georgia in Macon.

The fatal Georgia traffic accident remains under investigation.
