CALHOUN, Ga. -- Authorities shut down the southbound lanes Interstate 75, a main thoroughfare for truck and car traffic through northwest Georgia, as they investigated a deadly accident Wednesday morning.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials say the wreck, which involved a semitrailer, happened shortly before 5 a.m. in Gordon County.
