An adult driver and a child passenger sustained critical injuries after a three-car accident involving a Atlanta police van.
The Atlanta car crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 at West Lake Avenue and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. A police officer was responding to an "officer needs assistance call" with his lights and sirens on when a southbound silver Kia pulled into the intersection. The Kia was struck by the police van.
The officer tried to avoid the Kia and hit a third vehicle.
The adult driving the Kia and a thirteen-year-old child were injured and in critical condition. The driver, the child and the police officer were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The officer sustained only minor injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
No charges have been filed.
Atlanta car accident attorney Shane Smith wishes the victims a full and fast recovery.
