A Senoia car accident that occurred on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 was responsible for putting an elderly woman in the hospital. According to Senoia Police Department officials, a 67-year-old lady was flown to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition following a wreck with a tractor-trailer truck.
Authorities indicated that the car and truck crash took place around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday on Georgia Highway 16 near Harper Road. When police arrived on the accident scene, they found Chevy driver Lynda Adcock trapped inside of her vehicle. She was air-flighted to a hospital for medical care after she was extricated from her car by nine rescuers with the Coweta County Fire Department. The rescue took about 15 minutes to free Lynda Adcock from the car. She was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where she remained in critical condition the following morning, according to Assistant Chief Jeff Denney with the Senoia Police Department.
The truck driver involved in this Georgia crash has been identified as 50-year-old Jeffrey Williams, of Smyrna, Georgia. There is no word if he was injured in this crash.
Police have not filed any charges in relation to this wreck at this time, as the investigation is still open and ongoing.
