Road debris caused a multi-vehicle Georgia car crash that has left one woman seriously injured.
The
Georgia highway accident occurred on December 31, 2010 just after 6 p.m. on northbound GA. 400 just between the toll booth and the Glenridge Connector exit.
Tools and utility clamps. fell from a truck and littered the highway. While several cars managed to avoid the debris, other cars were damaged by the falling objects. Some debris went through the windshield of a car and struck the passenger in the face and head. The victim was taken to North Fulton Hospital and is expected to recover from her serious injuries.
The highway north of the tollbooth was closed for several hours while emergency crews cleaned up the debris.
The truck that was carrying the load has not been found.
