Lee County Accident results in overturned vehicle...Smith wins case

Barshal  was involved in a motor vehicle accident on May 4^th, 2010 in Lee County Alabama. Barshal was traveling north on US Hwy 431 when an oncoming vehicle veered into his  lane, causing Barshal to swerve off the road, lose control of the vehicle, hit the guardrail and roll over onto the median. After this collision, Barshal required medical attention.    At the Emergency Room, Barshal was examined by the emergency room physician and was diagnosed as having cervical and lumbar strains.  He was given prescriptions for the sustained injuries. Upon discharge, he was instructed to rest and to take the prescribed medications as well as to seek follow up medical care. Following the emergency room physician's advice, Barshel sought further medical care. He was seen by Dr. Beaumont of Sparlin Healthcare and was diagnosed with headaches, cervical sprain/strain, thoracic sprain/strain, and lumbosacral sprain/strain. Dr. Beaumont prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy to treat his symptoms.  During his treatment, Barshal was also seen by Dr. Fox for an MRI of the sustained injuries. Barshal  has incurred medical expenses as a direct result of this collision. After treatment was completed, we settled the claim with Geico Insurance.
