Erica Nash and her children were involved in a rear-end motor vehicle accident on October 4, 2008 in Spalding County. After the collision, my client required medical care and was seen at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Erica presented with complaints of pain in her neck, shoulder, and back. She was diagnosed as having torticollis, contusion of the left hand, and left hand joint pain. She was given prescriptions for sustained injuries and was advised to seek follow up medical care. Acting upon the advice of the attending physician at Spalding Regional, Erica was seen by Southern Cresent Medical of Fayetteville. With continued back and neck pain, she was diagnosed with cervical neck pain, low back pain, cervical strain/sprain, and hip joint pain. Erica was prescribed physical therapy. She continued to suffer pain from the sustained injuries and was referred to Riverdale Anesthesia Associates. She required an MRI and was referred to Open MRI. Erica continued to suffer from back pain and bilateral hip pain. Open MRI diagnosed Erica with disc herniation posterior central and to the right at L5-S1 with compression of the right Sl nerve root. Erica was seen at Sutton Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. After reviewing the MRI, a series of epidurals were scheduled for Ms. Nash which she received. During the course of her treatment, Ms. Nash was also seen by her family physician at Mitchell Family Healthcare.
After this collision, Jacarri Bradshaw required medical attention and was also seen at Spalding Regional Medical Center. There she was examined and given a full medical check up by the Spalding Regional Medical Center physician. Jacarri was advised to seek follow-up with medical care if needed. She continued to suffer pain from the injuries she sustained in the October collision. Jacarri was seen by A Kids World Pediatrics for a complete checkup after the car accident.
Additionally, Jabri Nash required medical attention and was seen at Spalding Regional Medical Center where he presented complaints of headaches. Dr. Learner of Southern Crescent Medical Clinic diagnosed Jabri with headaches, cervical myofascitis, cervicalgia, and multiple cervical subluxations. Jabri was prescribed physical therapy. Dr. Learner also referred Jabri to her pediatrician for a full check up after car accident. She was also seen at A Kids World Pediatrics. Once Erica and her children were feeling better, we were able to settle the claim against Progressive Insurance Company.
