Isces Kelsey, Brian Hill, and Alex Bell were involved in a rear-end motor vehicle accident on October 30, 2010 in Baldwin County, Georgia. After this collision, Isces required medical attention and was transported via ambulance to the emergency room of Oconee Regional Medical Center. Isces presented with complaints of pain in her neck and back. She was diagnosed with upper and mid back pain. Isces was given prescriptions for the injuries she sustained and was advised to seek follow up medical care. Following the Oconee Regional Medical Center physician's advice, she was seen by Healing Hands for treatment of neck, mid back, shoulder, wrist, and hand pain. Dr. Stephens diagnosed her with paraesthesia of the upper extremities, radiculitis, cervical spine subluxation, shoulder sprain/strain, and cervical sprain/strain. Dr. Stephens found that Isces had reduced range of motion in her shoulder and neck. He prescribed a conservative program of physical therapy for Isces to treat her symptoms.
Brian Hill also required medical attention and like Isces was transported to the emergency room of Oconee Regional. There he was given a complete check up and examined by the the attending physician. Brian was advised to seek follow-up medical care for the injuries sustained if his pain did not subside.
Alex Bell was another passenger in the vehicle and he, too, required transport to the emergency room of Oconee Regional Medical Center. He presented with complaints of pain in his neck and was subsequently diagnosed as having a cervical strain/pain. Alex was given prescriptions for his injuries related to the October incident. Further, Alex was advised to seek additional medical care for the injuries he sustained.
As Alex, Brian, and Isces improved, the law firm of Shane Smith was able to settle the claim against Southern General Insurance Company.
