  • About three pedestrians a week are killed in Georgia. 
  • Pedestrians are 32 times more likely to be killed in motor vehicle crashes than vehicle occupants are. 
  • One out of 16 pedestrians involved in car crashes are killed.

Children:

  • Car accidents are the leading cause of death and injury to children.
  • Child safety seats reduce the risk of injury by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers.
