William Soloman
Attorney
Authorized To Practice In NC
William Soloman (Will) brings more than two decades of legal experience and a unique, well-rounded perspective to his work in personal injury law. Over the course of his career, he has served as a general practitioner, represented clients in both pre-litigation and trial settings, and presided over cases during nearly four years on the bench as a district court judge. This breadth of experience, having advocated for clients, selected juries, and ruled on legal motions, gives him rare insight into how cases develop, how evidence is weighed, and how to navigate the process from start to finish.
Although his entry into personal injury was by chance, Will quickly discovered it to be one of the most fulfilling areas of practice. He values the opportunity to help clients move from a place of pain and uncertainty to restored health and stability, often addressing not just physical recovery but also livelihood and long-term well-being. One of his most memorable cases involved helping a law enforcement officer injured in a motorcycle accident regain the ability to qualify with his firearm, a vital step to protecting both his career and retirement.
Mr. Soloman’s legal philosophy centers on two core principles: honest communication and active listening. He believes that clients deserve realistic expectations and a clear understanding of the process, particularly in a legal landscape where rules and laws can change the scope of recovery. He takes care to personalize his work, noting details from initial client conversations that help him remember each individual as more than just a case number. This approach reflects his commitment to treating clients with respect, empathy, and genuine interest in their outcomes.
A lifelong learner and educator at heart, Will is dedicated to helping clients feel informed and empowered rather than passive participants in their cases. He aligns strongly with Shane Smith Law’s emphasis on “ownership” of each case, a philosophy that reinforces his own belief in personal accountability and individualized care.
Outside of the office, Will is an active member of the Rotary Club, where he helps raise scholarship funds for local community college students, and has previously served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club and United Way. His dedication to community service has been recognized through his election to the district court bench and commendations for his advocacy on behalf of the Guardian ad Litem program.
When not practicing law, Will enjoys an active lifestyle that includes competitive amateur golf, tennis, and time at the gym. He is a devoted father to two children, his son, a future music educator at Shaw University, and his daughter, an aspiring veterinarian. Whether on the course, in the courtroom, or volunteering in the community, William Soloman approaches every endeavor with focus, integrity, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
