After completing her undergraduate studies in economics at Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Savannah sought to diversify her legal education at the University of Western New England University in Massachusetts. Despite the formidable winters, her decision to study in the Northeast provided valuable experiences that shaped her legal perspective.

During law school, Savannah's favorite class was in immigration law, where she engaged in practical, client-focused scenarios. This hands-on experience instilled in her a passion for the practical aspects of legal practice and set the stage for her future career.

Initially drawn to criminal law, Savannah gained valuable litigation experience in Massachusetts before returning to North Carolina.
